Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_6_Bracket
Tilttle of the project :- Design sheet metal component of bracket using tool called NX CAD .
Objective : - Design sheet metal component of bracket using tool called NX CAD with the help of given data by OEM's.
Introduction : -
The term “sheet metal” refers to any metal that can be formed into flat pieces of varying thicknesses. Thick metals are called plate. Metals used in the sheet metal industry include cold rolled steel, mild steel, stainless steel, tin, nickel, titanium, aluminum, brass, and copper.
Methodology : -
create flange contour from sketch => normal cut out of sheet => break corner at sharp corner => unbend => bead => re-bend => hole => drafting .
Description :-
- SKETCH:- It is abasic of any design.
- TAB:- it is used to create base feature of a sheet metal.
- FLANGE:-It is used to create a extended part of a sheet metal.
- UNBEND:- This feature is used to unbent the sheet metal taking any one face as a stationary face.
- REBEND:- used to rebend the sheet metal.
- DIMPLE:- Used to create pitch up or pitch down surface.
- BEAD:- Used for giving strength to the sheet metals.
