Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge 6 Bracket

• OBJECTIVE - Explanation of the sheet metal bracket and tools used to design it in NX 12.

• INTRODUCTION - Sheet metal are thin and flat pieces formed by industrial processes. It can be cut and bent into variety of shapes.

        Brackets found their application for mounting of any products starting from antennas to TV, projectors or street lights and many more.

• DESIGN METHODOLOGY -  For designing a sheet metal component we need to enter into sheet metal mode through application in tool bar.

                                                                                                        LET'S START

1. Make the shown sketch in XY plane.
2. Make contour flange by using made sketch.
3. Unbend the bend part.
4. Give normal cut with shown dimensions.
5. Use break corner at particular edges with given radius.
6. Use break corner at particular edge with given radius.
7. Use break corner at particular edge with given radius.
8. Make bead at given position with given entities.
9. Make holes with shown dimensions.
10. Rebend the part.
11. Flat pattern made in 3d is used to keep a flat view in 2d.
