                         REPORT ON SHEET METAL COMPONENT AND MODELING TOOLS

• OBJECTIVE - Explanation of the sheet metal component and tools used to design it in NX 12.

• INTRODUCTION - Sheet metal are thin and flat pieces formed by industrial processes. It can be cut and bent into variety of shapes. Sheet which are very thin are considered as foil or leaf but those with thickness more than 6 mm are plate steels or structural steels. In this report sheet metal casing is designed which can be used to enclose parts as requirements varoius industries.

• DESIGN METHODOLOGY -  For designing a sheet metal component we need to enter into sheet metal mode through application in tool bar. Adjust sheet metal preferences as under:
