CREATING SHEETMETAL FROM SOLIDBODIES USING NX

Objective: Main objective of this project is to convert solid bodies in to sheet metal form using NX.

Design Methodology:

FEATURES DISCRIPTION:

EXTRUDE:

This feature used to convert 2D sketch into 3D model.

SHEET METAL FROM SOLID:

This feature helps to convert solid bodies in to sheet metal .

FLANGE:

Adds a flange to an angle to a planar face and adds a bend between the two.

JOG:

Modifies the model by lifting material on one side of sketch line, adding a flange between the two sides.

UNBEND:

Flattens a bend.

BEAD:

Lifts a material along a counter of sketch that simulates stamping a tool.

REBEND:

Restores a bend.

FLAT PATTERN:

Creates flat pattern feature from the formed sheet metal part.

Conclusion:

Converts solid body to sheet metal using NX.
