DESIGNING OF ODD SHAPE USING NX

Objective:

Using of various sheet metal tools like flanges, jogs, bends etc., and understanding the usage of the features addition to the sheet metal for designing the enclosure using NX sheet metal.

Below tools has been used for obtaining the result:

1. Extrude

2. Bend and unbend

3. Flange

4. Jog

5. Beads

6. Holes

7. Sheet metal from solid.

Description:

1. Initially the solid body has been created using extrude option creating a 3D object.
2. Sheet metal has been wrapped up on the solid body by “Sheet metal from solid body”.
3. One side has been added flange using flange option and the other side has been bend using jog line method.
4. Unbend the part for creating beads and holes by using Bead and Hole tools.
5. Flat pattern has been created using flat pattern option.
6. The model has been converted into drafting environment using Drafting.
