Aim
The aim is to clean the geometries and extract mid surfaces and the clean the same for 2d meshing with target length 5mm, min 3.5mm, and max 7mm.
Procedure
1. Clean the geometry for any free edges using the toggle edge option and other tools available in the quick-edit panel before generating the mid surfaces.

2. Generate the mid surface for the model using the midsurface tool in the geometry panel. Make sure to opt for closed surfaces drop-down options.

3. Switch off the original component so that only mid-surface is available. Clean the mid surface of any free edges, duplicate surfaces, and even pinholes as holes with size less 5mm are not required for meshing as per the problem statement.

4. Mesh the model using the 2D option and then automesh to get the rough elements. A number of meshing operations are available in the 2d based on size, edge deviations, etc.

5. Now we should perform a check on the element parameters based on the criteria given in the question. We can
6. After checking the element parameters we have remesh the specific element instead of the whole surface. We have to maintain the element size as well as the flow of the mesh. One can various options under the Tool option like reflect, position or project, etc in case of symmetrical features in the geometry.

7. When the element criteria are met, we have to assign a material card to the current component and provide some material property to the same like young's modulus, etc. Now create a new property card and assign the as Card Image as P1_SHELL and thickness as the 2(values are taken as mm or else check the engine file for the same).

8. In the model set the Prop_ID as the new property. Set the 2D Element detailed representation for the visual of the mesh model based on the property.

RESULT
Part 1
The maximum length is 6.88mm and the minimum length is 0.856011mm for 62 elements out of 360 having 17.2%.

Part 2
The maximum length is 7mm and the minimum length is 3.71mm.

Part 3
The maximum length is 6.92mm and the minimum length is 2.72mm for 12 elements out of 377 having 3.2%.
