In AutoCAD mechanical drawing, understanding how to plot correctly is essential, especially if you want your output to align with A2, A3, or even larger format specifications in mechanical AutoCAD 2D drawing for presentations or formal documentation.
Step 1: Selecting a Plotter and Configuring Plot Settings
In AutoCAD for beginners, configuring your plot settings is the first step. AutoCAD provides a range of plotter drivers designed to ensure high-quality outputs, essential when working with CAD for mechanical engineers who need detailed, clear prints. Here’s a breakdown of the plotter options:
AutoCAD offers built-in AutoCAD PDF plotters that allow you to adjust vector quality (measured in DPI) and raster image quality for clarity. This ensures high-resolution output, with vector quality reaching up to 2400 DPI and raster image quality at 600 DPI for high-quality prints, or web/mobile-optimized output as needed.
