Wiring harness routing & packaging Rules Week 3 Challenge
Q1. Download following cad data & define it as Electrical support using Electrical Part design Workbench. Define all the necessary properties.
Objective:
To define clip cad as electrical support using electrical part design workbench.
Process:
- First, we have to define the geometry parameters of the P clamp.
- We need to create an entry, exit, and base plane.
- After creating the geometry parameters we can switch to electric part design.
- Now we can select the support definition.
- In the first plane definition select the entry point and entry plane.
- Select the entry plane for second plane definition.
- Select the base plane for base plane definition.
Result:
The P clamp is defined as an electrical support part.
Q2. Download the following Back shell cad data & define it as Electrical back shell using Electrical Part design Workbench. Define all the necessary properties.
Objective:
To define Back shell cad as Electrical back shell using Electrical Part design Workbench.
Process:
- First, we have to define the geometry parameters of the Backshell.
- We need to create an entry point and exit point.
- Now create an axis system for the entry point.
- We can select the bundle connection point.
- Now we can switch electric part design.
- We can select the backshell definition.
- Now select backshell connection and select representation as point 1.
- contact as face, coincidence as Y-axis, and orientation as X-axis.
- Now select bundle connection point definition.
- Select representation as face, point as point 2, and initial condition as face.
Result:
Back shell cad is defined as an Electrical back shell.
Q3. Create the Following Corrugated tubes & Add them to the Catalogue under the “Slit COT” family.
Objective:
To create Corrugated tubes with the given dimensions & Add them to the Catalogue under the “Slit COT” family.
Process:
- Open a new part and name the part.
- Now switch to electrical part design.
- Select the command define protection part and select the part.
- Now enter the given values.
- Now save the Corrugated tubes and create a catalogue.
- Open a new part and select the catalogue document.
- Now select add family and name the family as Slit COT.
- Select Conduit and click save.
- Open the store device command and select the catalogue we have created.
- Select the family as Slit COT and click ok.
Result:
We have created Corrugated tubes with the given dimensions & Add them to the Catalogue under the “Slit COT” family.
