Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 2 Challlenge

1. I have downloaded the igs file using given links for all 3 components. for reference please refer attached screenshots.

2.open the igs file into the CATIA v5 . so firt for DT06-08SA connector we need to define axi point .select part design workbench and use axis system command .

3. before that we need to define the center point for the mating side and bundle entry side . using point command we can define point. then Axis system commad can define the connector axis system. it must be y Axis towards the mating side.

4.we alredy define connector bundle connection point using point command . select the two points and we will get the enter point.

5.define the connector as an electrical connector using define connector command. select th no of terminations/cavites of connector in case of DT06-08SA termination is 8.

6.define the connector connection point using commnad connector connection point . in the selection we have to select the face where mating connection face is required . then select y & x axis.

7.if the connector is have clip provision then we need to define cavity connection point for the mating of clip . we need to select the connection point then coincidence & orientation points.

8.for he clip same goemetrical defination nee to be define . excapt cavity connection point . at connector end we dfine the cavity connection point so for clip we need to define the it as an cavity itself for mating.

9.also we need to define clip as an mounting equipment for mounting with connector .
