THE PROVIDED SPECIMEN IS A ROD
MATERIAL:
THE MATERIAL USED HERE IS STEEL 1006 – EXPLICIT MATERIAL.
CO-ORDINATE SYSTEM:
FOR THE TENSILE AND TORSION TEST WE ARE IMPLEMENTING NEW CO-ORDINATE SYSTEM ON THE FACES OF THE REACTION RESPECTIVELY.
FOR TENSILE TEST:
THE CO-ORDINATE SYSTEM IS PROVIDED ON BOTH THE END SIDE OF THE SPECIMEN
FOR TORSION TEST:
THE CO-ORDINATE SYSTEM IS CYLINDRICAL AND IT IS CONCENTRATED ON THE MID-PORTION OF THE SPECIMEN.
MESH:
THE MESH GENERATED HERE IS TETRAHEDRON ELEMENTS OF 3mm FACE SIZING ON BOTH THE END FACES OF THE SPECIMEN WHERE AS THE MID-PORTION IS CONSTRAINED TO 1mm TETRAHEDRON ELEMENTS MESH.

THE ANALYSIS SYSTEM USED HERE IS EXPLICIT DYNAMICS.
THE END TIME FOR THE ANALYSIS IS PROVIDED AS 0.001 s.

THE ONE END OF THE SPECIMEN IS FIXED.
DISPLACEMENT:
FOR TENSILE TEST WE ARE ELONGATING THE SPECIMEN UPTO 18 mm. ALONG THE X-DIRECTION.
FOR TORSION TEST WE ARE MAKING THE SPECIMEN TURN FOR 1200 deg AS PER THE LOAD FOR THE CYLINDRICAL CO-ORDINATE SYSTEM.

TORSION TEST REQUIRES MORE STRESS THAN THE TENSILE TEST THIS IS DUE TO THE MOMENT OF THE FORCE WHICH COMPRESSES THE GRAINS TO THE FATIGUE STATE REQUIRES MORE STRESS THAN THE TENSILE TEST .
