Week 9 - Project - A pillar Design with Master Section

In this A pillar Design with Master Section challenge, we have created final componet with Class A & Master section as an inputs.

First we check the class A surface quality & found it ok, Class A surface is clearing the 3 degree draft analysis.

Now we create the two tooling axis for the componet one Main tooling axis & side tooling axis by using the bisecting method & normal to point method taking Master section as a reference, as shown in below image

after creating the tooling axis we create the Class B surface by offestting the Class A surface at the value of 2.5 mm & then we create the Class C Surface with draft direction & reference surface sweep method.

After completing the surface we join all three Class A, B & C surface together to form a closed body surface, and with this closed body surface we formed the solid closed body part, as shown in image.

and the we checked for the draft analysis for the part & the complete part is clearing the 3 degree draft only some area is having the min. 2.2 degree draft.

now we create the dog house with master section which is given as an input, with min. 0.5 degree draft.

for dog house we use the main tooling axis for the outer wall of the dog house & for inside area we use side tooling axis, for the creation of the dog house & also for the drafting the walls of the dog house.
