Week 9 - Project - A pillar Design with Master Section

Report:

As per givin details, i carefully undestand the scope of the work, then i have checked the quality of Class A surface and Master section.

Tooling Axis:

At first feasibile tooling axis has been decided, keeping the parameters in mind that part should be easily removale and havig cost efective tooling. So develope tooling axis bisecting method used. Two tooling axis has been developed one for part and other for side core.

Draft Analysis of Class A:

To make sure easy removal of the part from the die, sufficient draft should be provide on surface which is paraller to tooling axis because these surfaces are penedicular to the tolling direction. By using toolindg axis 1 draft analysis has been done which can be seen at below attaced image. As we can see all surface are green which means it has 3 degree of draft and the part is good to for further.

Development of Class B and Class A surface:

With the help of given data, Class A and Class C surface develpoed with proper tree which can be seen in below attaced image. Separately i also published Class A, Class B, Class C and tooling aixs for ease of access. and body developmend by using close surface command.

Development of Dog house:

As per givien Master Section dog house created, for outer surface 1.5° draft and for side core 0.5° draft maintained. Please refer to below attaced image.

B Piller Draft Analysis:

After development of dog house it is add to b-piller by using boolean operation. Final draft analsyis has been done on the part, as you can see 3° degree draft maintained on part. As we can see there is red colour on Dog House because we have given 1.5° draft and also for inner part of dog house but that partion will be cleared by side core tooling axis. When i change draft angle to 1.5°, now you can see next to next image dog house walls also having green colour.

Bottom surface showing blue colour which means it has less than 0 degree draft but this surface will be clear from downward direction of lower half part of the die so if i switch the direction which is in next image, now you can seen now its green which means it is good to go further.
