Week 9 - Project - A pillar Design with Master Section

TOOLING AXIS:

*The Direction in which the mold or core and cavity opens is the tooling axis.

1) connectivity of class A surface:

cheking the connectivity of the surface,this can be done by creating boundariesor by simply using such as that any opening can be easily visualized.

2) Analysis visually for the best possiable tooling axis.

A Dummy tooling axis will be directly created using point dirction command.

3) create a side core axis for the dog house.

checking possiabilities (clearance) in all the direction of axis and find what are the problem creation parts of the component or model.

The clearanace checking along all the axis direction will be done by creating an intersection along an axis on a plan with the model and constructing two lines contact with the walls,the line bisecting the two lines and passing through the point will be the tooling axis.

DRAFT ANALYSIS:

* Enter the part diagram of the catia.

When we are doing the draft anlaysis for the class A surface on 3 degree.

* customize view parameter go to to the material mode.

* go for the draft analysis

*drag axis bar to the tooling direction of part.

The draft analysis of the part body and dog house on 3 degree

When the draft analysis of the part body and dog house on 0.48 deg

* check for draft and make parting line as per analysis.

EXPLANATION:

1)Frist, we can load the class A surface on the catia and we can create a tooling axis of the class A surface.

2)And we can draft analysis of the class a surface wether the class a surface good are not.

3)we can create a class B surface offset of the class A surface.

4)we can create class C surfce and joint the class C surface and class A surface.

5)And Trime the joint of class C and A surface and class B surface.

6)And create a dog house on the part body and create of ribs inside the dog house.

7)finally we can draft the dog house and ribs and give fillets.
