Week 9 - Project 1 - Door Trim Lower with Engineering Features
Door trim lower with Heat stakes & locator
To create door trim lower plastic component with heat stakes and locator from given class A surface.
1. Draft analysis made on class A surface. For that tooling axis have to be created , tooling axis is the direction where mold opens. Tooling axis is created and draft analysis made on class A surface.

Draft analysis on class A
2. Class B surface is created by offset the class A surface to 2.5 mm in upper side. In that offset some of the fillet areas are missing. So all the surfaces from offset extracted without fillet. Extracted surfaces are extrapolated and trimed and new filltes were given.
Class B surface
3. Class C surface is created using sweep method. All the boundaries extracted from class A surface and Sweep with draft direction were ever twisted area was created is replace by multisection.
Class C surface.
4. Finally the class A and Class C surface are joined. The join of class A and Class C trimed with Class B. Gap between Class C and Class B in some area so in that places class B extrapolated and and trimed.
Join of Class A B & C
5. Join of class A B & C is made into solid part in part workbench and draft analysis made on it class A surface in gree color means with minimun draft of 3 degree.

6. To Lock free movememts of the plastic parts after for assembly. Four way locator was created and to fix it with other components heat stakes was created. The height of loacter was higher than heat stakes because operation heat stakes is going to happen after the operationof locator.
