Week 9 - Challenge 3 - Bumper
BUMPER DESIGN
BUMPER
car bumper is fundemental component of modern vehichle , designed primarily to absorb and mitigate the force of low speed collission
positioned in the front and rear of the car bumpers serves as both protective and shields and aesthetic elements

TOOLING DIRECTION
it refers to the direction in which the mold pulls apart during the manufacturing process.
molds are typically built in two seperate pieces cavity side core side

CLASS A SURFACE
free form surface for high efficiency and quality . mainly used for asthetical purpose which gives good apealing quality for an product mainly for cars

CLASS B SURFACE
it is refered as engineering surface to provide structural support for the componenets
b surface can be atttained by offsetting the a surface by required length.
but offsetting A surface which containes lot of surface patches is hectic cuz it may lose some edge fillets surface patches for some tool consideration

CLASS C SURFACE
it is surface which connects class A and B it does not need any cosmetic perfection for an componenet

DRAFT ANALYSIS
it is a technique used to analyze whether our part model created is manufacturable or not
in this model draft angle for the part is 2.9degree . the nominal draft angle is 3 degree but minimum value of the draft angle can be considered as 0.5degree.

A AND C SURFACE

to check whether my model is properly closed or not applying the boundry command on the object will be failing to create boundry

CLOSE SURFACE

THICKNESS

thickness of the component is 3 mm for bumper.it is attained by offsetting the b surface from the the a surface for required length.
