Week 9 - Challenge 3 - Bumper

AIM

Create the Bumper Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the Draft analysis on the model.

CLASS A SURFACE

TOOLING AXIS CREATION

Tooling axis was created by measuring inertia of the A-Surface and created the tooling axis by the point with x-direction

CLASS B SURFACE

Offset of 3 mm from the A-Surface will be the B-Surface.

There are few patches and discontinuity of B-Surface after offsetted.

It will cure by using fill, sweep, extract, Multi-Extract, offset commands.

CLASS C SURFACE

For creating this surface we have extracted the boundry of Class A using multi-extract and then converted to smooth curve. Now this smooth curve is swept along 90deg with a 3deg draft.
