Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation (Ribs & Screw Boss) - Challenge 1
Aim :
To create proper rib design as per the standard data

Create the Screw boss for the Drill Handle considering the design rules mentioned in the video.
General Guidelines for Bosses:
- Draft - 0.5 degrees on the walls of boss
- Thickness - Typically 40%* of the nominal wall at the base.
- Height to Diameter Ratio - 3:1
- Radii - 0.25mm maximum radii.

solution:
given class A

#check for disjoint surfce

seems to have no disjoint surface
# Tooling Axis

point on surface

cordinate axis and plane

intersection curve

extend line

Bisecting line

second intersection curve

dummy axis 2

mean bisecting axis

final tooling axis

#draft analysis of class A

There seems to not satisfy 3degree draft on the class A surface
To get maximum draft angle lets try using only dummy axis 1 and deactivate dummy 2 axis and bisecting line axis

now we get a maximum of 0.99 degree from from previous maximum 0.4 degree.
#Creating Class B section
extract class a

offset 2.5mm

check if it is even diamention

use multi section to fill the surface

join the surface

#class c surface
Boundry to class A

Swept

join surface

no disjoint surface

#join all surface

check for disjoint surface

convert to solid
