Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation (Ribs & Screw Boss) - Challenge 1

DRAFT ANALYSIS:

By doing Draft analysis on Class A surface There is little deviation in draft angle so the issue should be claried to Class A engineer to avoid the errors while manufacturing. The Class A engineer (Styling engineers) should discuss the issue with the customer to alter the design.

TOOLING AXIS CREATION:

In this design the Tooling axis is created using Point direction method. This method is used because the part is not that much complex and we get flat surface easily to decide the tooling axis.

METHODS TOOLING AXIS CREATION:

We can make Tooling axis by 3 Methods that are,

1. Point direction method: In this method we can make the point on the surface and create a line usinhg point-direction option so the tooling axis is created easily.

2. Normal to surface: In this method we can make the tooling axis normal to the surafce which is extracted from Class A surface.

3. Bisecting method:

In bisecting method The two extracted parallel line is created using the Class A surface and a bisecting line is craeted using that extarcted lines.

So, we go with the method one if it is not possible we do the tooling axis on other methods accordingly.
