 REPORT

TOOLING AXIS CREATION

Tooling axis is the direction in which core and cavity moves as a plastic sheet metal designer we should choose a tooling direction that will avoid side cores and clears the whole tool check and make it easily manufacturable . if the class A has a large flat surface or holes usaually we can take the normal direction as tooling direction other method is the

creation of tooling axis by using bisecting lines. we will visually check which direction is best for tooling and create a plane intersection and check for parellel surfaces .take bisection from them and that will be our main tooling axis .

DRAFT ANALYSIS

For components to be easily manufacturable a maximum of 3 degree draft can be provided . the class A surface and final output should pass the draft analysis .
