Challenge

Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation (Ribs & Screw Boss) - Challenge 1

REPORT

initialy we need to make tooling axis. in door handle is open in two sides , so created a line from the base in Y direction which is taked as the tooling axis and changes the thickness , colour and type of line. tooling axis is the direction of motion of core and cavity. after tooling axis creation need to do draft analysis of class A. open the featured draft analysis then set the colour varient as we required and coincide compass with the tooling axis , then locked it and placed the curson on the class A and analysed the draft is ok or not.

then started to creating classB. for that first i offset classA to 3 mm which is the required thickness of part. then worked on the portions where failure occured. and created class C by sweeping edge of classA. and joined it together. then trimmed with the class B to obtain the final surface . then changed the surface into solid by using closed surface. then started to create B side features, for crating rib extracted a line and extruded that line and made a surface of height 15 mm and extrapolated the sides and splitd it with main body. then created a thickness from the surface in part workbench and provided draft and fillet to the required portions. then translated the rib to the required distace for creating another rib. for creating screw boss , sketched two circles in proper diamension and paded it. also provided draft and fillets to the proper portions and translated it. finally did draft analysis to the final body.
