Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 2
REPORT :
Creation of Tooling Axis :
1. First insert a point on the surface of the class A by extracting the base
2. The selected surface is in such a way that the majority portion of the object have to be cleared and the remaining portion is in such a way that it can be cleared in the tooling direction.
Draft Analysis :
1.Green color indicates that the degree is from 0 to 0.45 degrees
2.Red color indicates that the degree is from 0 Degrees
3.Blue color indicates that the degree is from 0 to negative
Class A :The surface is defined has the object that we can see with our eyes and it is said to be the aesthetic surface, this surface should be smooth and free from defects and the surface should be smooth.

Class B : This surface is defined has the surface parallel to the class A or it is said to be the engineering surface where all the engineering features takes place.

Class C : This surface is defined has the surface that joins both the class A and C .

Procedure :
1.Offset the class A surface for 2.5mm .This surface is the engineering surface the check for the patches if any,
2.The patches are to be closed with the commads like join, multiple extract and extrapolate.
3.And trim the extrapolated surface on all the sides of the patches measure the fillet side and perform fillet operation of necessary.
4.The Class C surface is generated by using the sweep command.
5.Join all the final surfaces of the class A,Class B and Class C and ensure proper geometrical set.
6.After joining the surface close the surface by using the command close surface in part design.
7.Then perform the draft analysis on the closed surface.
8.Publish the Class A, B And C surfaces in the publications.
Draft analysis is shown in the below figure :

How to Create Dog House :
1.After making the surface a close body now it time to design the Dog House select a point on the surface by selecting normal to the curve option.
2.Now draw the Dog house design and extrude the surface and pad the sketch with reference to the tooling axis and ensure to extude on the bottom side also.

This is the Dog House design
3.Now thicken the extuded surface to 2 mm to generate the front portion use the split operation in the part design to get the dog house design
4.Now perform the draft on the body and give the inside fillet has 0.5mm and the outside filllet has 3 mm .
5.Inorder to get the C we need to assume the 40% of the thicknees then it comes has 1 mm.
6.The outer surface of the dog house is to be extracted and and offseted inwards to 1mm and the base surface is offset to a height of 5.5mm and both the surface is trimed to get the shape as shown in the figure

7.Now again use the spilt to get the the C in the Dog House,Now perform draft analysis on the outer surface of the Dog House by giving the axis as tooling axis and create a tooling axis along the z axis to clear the draft analysis on the inner sides of the Dog House .
8.Now Perform the Draft analysis on the innersided of the Dog House.
9.Now copy the Dog House and paste special in the Door trim-DOg House and translate it to the other point.
10.Ensure after doing the draft to the dog house the outside surface is to be projected outwards so that the performed draft is correct as per the design standards.

As shown in the figure the draft should be projected outwards
The draft analysis of the Dog house

The Draft analysis of the entire component clearing the draft
Conclusion :
The result is obtained by taking the design standards and two Dog Houses are created.
