Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 2

AIM :To creat the Dog House for the door trim.

DOG HOUSE: dog is an engineering feature used in plasticThe door trim.Dog House are used as supporting feature in door trim.The primary function of DOG HOUSE is to avoid SINKMARK.

DRAFT ANALYSIS: To check the draft analysis if the part is required draft or not.Draft analysis refers to a tool that allow as to determine if we remove the part we designing from the tool being used to design it.

1. Drfat analysis with main closed body

2.Draft analysis on the Dog House

3.Draft analysis with main body along with dog house.

TOOLING AXIS: The Tooling direction is basically the direction that the mould pulls apart.The mold is built in two seprate piecse.Basically we have a core and caviyt side.the core pulls apart from the cavity.

Here i created the side core axis too.

CLASS B SURFACE: To creat class B surface we have to offset 2.5mm in class A surface.In that offset we see some patches .we go to solve the patches with the using of EXTRACT ,MULTI EXTRACT,MULTI SECTION ,FILL COMMAND ARE USED. Here i used multi section command and join the offset and multi section surface we get the CLASS B SURFACE.

CLASS C SURFACE:To creat the class C surface with A surface . To take boumdary of A surface and use the sweep command with the reference surfance angle used 90 degree.Join the sweep together along with A SURFACE we get CLASS C SURFACE.

FINAL TRIM: extrapolate the b surface and trim with c surface and we get final part and make solid body with closed surface.

CONCLUSION: The DOOR TRIM WITH DOG HOUSE IS created.
