To create Rib for the coin holder following design rules

AIM: To create Rib for the coin holder following design rules.

Procedure:

• Extract bottom surface of the solid coin holder model. Using Position sketch on this surface draw a line.

• Extract surface out of the line using 'Extract' option. Height of the rib to be maintained as 5 times the thickness of the component. The thickness of the component is 2.5mm so extrude the line up to 12.5mm.

• Convert the surface into solid by using 'thick' option in part workbench.

• Provide draft on all the surfaces of the rib with 0.5 deg and Fillets with 0.25mm.

• Create an intersection line exactly at the middle of the component.

• Create a circle at the join of the rib and the main body. The measurement of the circle should be nearly at the range of main component thickness i.e., 2.5mm.

• Create an another rib next to current rib following the same procedure. Distance between the ribs must be y/x=3/1. Where y= height of the rib. x= distance between the ribs.

CONCLUSION:

Rib is created for the coin holder following the design rules.
