Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 1

Aim:

To Create the rib for the Centre console coin holder.

Procedure:

* Download The Coin Holder CAT part.

* The CAT part will be downloaded and it will be a solid part, rather than Surface part.

* So, We need to create an EXTRACT on the base to make the ribs.

* Go to SKETCH and draw the Lines.

* Give EXTRUDE to make as 2D element.

* Go To Part Design and Thicken the Extruded Surface.

* Perfotm Drafting to make the Thickened part as slightly slanting. Make sure that the part should not be in 0 deg.

* The final drafted region is then obtained.

* Assemble the Rib Body (It should be created on separate body) to the main design.

* In order to make the confirmation, Take the intersect and draw the circle on the edges by taking extract and make sure that the diameter of the circle should be 2.6 mm.

* Use EDGE FILLET to bring the sharp edges into curvy edges.

* Repeat the same procedure for creating the another rib.
