Week - 8 - Morphing
PROCEDURE:
1.
Import the model and do geometry cleanup
Import the model and do topological error cleanup to proceed further for morphing.
Once we are done with cleanup we can either mesh it or without meshing also we can proceed for morphing.The morphing module works for both the model i.e. CAD as well as FE model.
Basically we will do the box morphing for the given geometry.
We need to switch to the morphing module and select box morphing under new tab(boxes section).select the geometry option of selection.You can also go for FE as well if available.
Select the area for morphing to confirm the box selection and then nodes of the box by selecting the move option under the box morphing section. select the coordinate axes you want to move the nodes.

After selecting the box we can move the MORPH BOX in any XYZ axes
If we want to move in any specific direction then you can uncheck the axis box also.
After MORPHING MODEL Is-- this way we can increase the hieght of the RIBS&DOG HOUSES
Morphing :
Morphing in ANSA is a very powerful and intuitive tool, it can be used to reshape, redesign and detail a CAE model without the need for a 3D CAD model. In the case of frontal design, morphing can be used to retain and optimise vital styling cues and design features (Figure 1) Figure 1 – Morphing according to styling cues
Applications of morphing :
The application of morphing can be found for all disciplines: Crash, NVH, Durability, CFD, etc. There are two main methods implemented inside ANSA; Domain based and Direct Morphing.
