Week 8 - Challenge 4 - Coin Holder Design

CREATION OF TOOLING AXIS:-

Since the give model is have 90° angle , we have to communicate to Class - A surface design to consider this and give minimum draft angle possible.

Here , We are choosing tooling axis just normal to the flat surface.

DRAFT ANAYSIS OF CLASS-A SURFACE

Here the Green coloured is cleared by core side & Red coloured is cleared by cavity side. Since the given model having 0° drafet angle it shows in red colour. if we given some draft it also cleared by core side itself.

DRAFT ANALYSIS OF FINAL COMPONENT

That hole can't cleared by core or cavity, it can only cleared with the help of lifters (which is placedin core side).
