Week 8 - Challenge 4 - Coin Holder Design
Report - Tooling Axis Creation and Draft Analysis of COIN HOLDER:
Tooling Axis Creation of COIN HOLDER:
- Draft Angle Line in XY - Base Surface has extracted and the point has been created on the middle of the surface. Position Sketch is created along the XY Plane with that Point which we created. Even the Class A Surface doesn’t have the Draft angle, line has drawn on the intersecting surface line along with XY plane. Then the Bisecting Line has created with these two lines. This Bisecting line is the Tooling clearing axis in X direction.
- Draft Angle Line in YZ – Similarly here also, Class A Surface doesn’t have the Draft angle, so the line has drawn on the intersecting surface line along with YZ plane. Then the Bisecting Line has created with these two lines. This Bisecting line is the Tooling clearing axis in Z direction.
- Tooling Axis - It has been done by creating the bisecting line between the Tooling clearing axis in X and Z direction.
Draft Analysis:
- Material Mode has been ensured in the View Mode Customization to proceed the Draft Analysis.
- The Draft Analysis can be done by using the Feature Draft Analysis command.
- To analyse the draft, the compass should be drag and fix it in the tooling axis, click on the lock button which is in the feature draft analysis toolbar then click on the component surface.
Then the Draft result will be showcased by the comparison of different colours. - Green Colour - More than 2.9degree
- Blue Colour – -0.9 to 2.9degree
- Red Colour – Less than -0.9
- It can be done in Class A Surface and the Solid Coin Holder. The Resultant Images are attached.
Since the Class A surface doesn’t have the draft angle, the draft will be in red colour, if we maintained Red is up to Zero. So that for instance I changed that into above mentioned ranges. But actually, we have to change the Class A surface according to the draft conditions.
