Draft analysis

Draft analysis is done inorder to check the manfacturability of the component. For plastic produc design, a small draft angle given to component surfaces inorder to ease the ejection of component from the mold. Draft analysis check the draft angle of different surfaces of the component along the tooling axis and represent it as colour variation for easy understanding

tooling axis is the axis along whch core and cavity moves.

for simple plastic parts , tooling axis is normal to the main surface

for complex components, tooling axis is drawn by bisecting method,where multiple intersections are drawn along tooling direction and dummy axises are drawn by bisecting the lines which are drawn using drafted walls of the component as reference
