Week 8 - Challenge 3 - Switch Bezel Design
AIM-
Create the Switch Bezel Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the Draft analysis on the model.
Take the Thickness of the component to be 2.5 mm
DRAFT ANALYSIS
- The Draft Analysis command enables you to detect if the part you drafted will be easily removed. This type of analysis is performed based on color ranges identifying zones on the analyzed element where the deviation from the draft direction at any point, corresponds to specified values.
- The mapping texture accuracy depends of the video card used. Therefore, colors displayed on surfaces could be wrong according to the color scale, when the value displayed on the fly is right because the analysis is recomputed at the cursor location.
Sometimes, in the case of extremely closed values, it is recommended to switch to the Quick mode to improve the color display accuracy. - The maximal draft analysis accuracy is 0.01 deg. According to the graphic card performance, this accuracy can be debased.
PROCEDURE
Here the class A surface provided by OEM. i created CLASS B and CLASS C SURFACE form class A surface.
Thickness 2.5 mm

CLASS A SURFACE
Class A is
1.Visible surface and aesthetic look
2.surface with textures
3.Surfaces provided by customer(OEM)
4.Don't have any features like(rib, snap, bosses etc) on class A surface.
5.Class A surface is made from scanned data with different software like allias etc..
6.Surfaces which is having CURVATURE CONTINUITY IS CALLED class-A.
