Week 8 - Challenge 3 - Switch Bezel Design
INTRODUCTION -
This analysis report includes the draft analysis of the Switch Bezel part of the car door arm.Draft analysis,it helps us to detect whether the drafted part of ours going to eject easily from the mould or not.
OBJECTIVES-:
The main objective is to create the Switch Bezel part of 2.5mm thickness from the given class-A surface. Then to create the tooling axis for the given draft,At last to perform the the draft analysis on the tooling axis.
DETAILED ANALYSIS
Below picture shows the both class-A(Coloured Surface) & extrapoleted, untrimed surface of the Class B Surface(Uncoloured Surface)with 2.5mm thickness. Then trim respective surface to get proper shape for class B Surface.
As we see in below picture the final Class B surface (uncoloured)& class A surface. The tooling axis that is shown in the image that is created by the help of the Bisecting Method.

The above image shows the class C surface with which we can make the Switch Bezel part of 2.5mm thickness.

Here is the final part of Switch Bezel of thickness 2.5mm thickness using close surface process. Then we can perform the draft analysis in the created tooling axis.

By the help of the colour appear in the part and also the chart we can conclude that this part can be easily ejected from the mould with provide draft.
