Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Draft Analysis on a Fan Cover

RECUIREMENT OF DRAFT ANGLE

The draft allow the part to release or eject from the mold.
The draft angle is to reduce the friction between the core ,part and cavity.
And its also for avoid the damage of the core,part and cavity.
The minimum draft angle is 0.5 and commonly using draft angle is 3.

REPORT:

Tooling Axis Creation

Create a dummy axis before creating the tooling axis.The y direction intersection of body is taken for creat the tooling clearing in y axis direction.Create the line in the difficult area in this fan cover there is two inclinde lines is created.Then creat bisecting line by that two inclinde lines.Like that creat the bisecting line(tooling clearing x direction) in x axis is created.Creat the bisecting line(TOOLING AXIS) by the tooling clearing in y direction and tooling clearing in x direction.

Draft analysis

The draft analysis shows the draft angle in the body.The draft angle allow the part to release or eject from the mold.The colour scale show the draft degrees in the body.The minimum draft angle is 0.5 and commonly using draft angle is 3.
