Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Draft Analysis on a Fan Cover

DRAFT ANALYSIS

Draft analysis is a technique that is used to check the cad models can be manufacturing on based on the draft condition applied

The draft angle has been considered as 0.5 to 3

All the plastic mold components undergoes a draft which makes the ejecting easier

Methods followed to created draft analysis

BISECTING OF LINE

As analyzing the model it came to know that the z axis tooling will be better which the mold maker to create the easy mold

Whereas the mold operation in y axis requires a hole on the top which is difficult

And x axis has two complication one is the holes and the next goes with the cutout

OPERATION 1

Intersect of y axis and the model

OPERATION CREATION OF LINES

Lines has been created on the faces of the fan which solves the tooling

CREATION OF DUMMY TOOLING AXIS

It has been on bisecting the tow lines what we have created as it named as reference tooling axis of dummy as to be verified

CREATION OF TOOLING AXIS X

After creating the lines we are performing the operation of bisection of lines to get the tooling axis

CREATON OF TOOLING AXIS Y

ON based on the x and y axis tooling create we will be bisecting both the tooling axis to get the final tooling axis

PERFORMING DRAFT ANALYSIS

As starting the draft analysis initially we have to define the draft direction using The Draft Analysis command enables you to detect if the part you drafted will be easily removed. This type of analysis is performed based on color ranges identifying zones on the analyzed element where the deviation from the draft direction at any point, corresponds to specified values.

Analyses under point is an that can be used dynamically to Drafts are defined on molded parts to make them easier to remove from molds. There are two ways of determining the objects to draft:

AS I TRIAL MORE THAN AS RESULT OF 10 DEGREE AS SHOW

In engineering, draft is the amount of taper for molded or cast parts perpendicular to the parting line.
