Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design

A CLASS SURFACE:-

Given A CLASS SURFACE converts to solid part (b &c ) surfaces by helping Aclass surface

It is an Aesthetic part of component

TOOLING AXIS:-

We should keenly observe and study the class A surface to create the 'Tooling Axis' for the component, for the above-given base bracket Z-axis is the best suitable tooling axis. Initially, I created a dummy tooling axis on Z-axis by considering the reference point created in the middle of the circle. by the help of intersection can achieved tooling direction

Draft Analysis for Surface A:-

The analysis is done for a 3degree draft. So as can be seen all the surfaces are more than 3deg.

CLASS B SURFACE:-

To create the class B surface, I considered the entire surface has 3 parts 'Rib-1, Rib-2, and Base surface'. If we directly offset the class A surface, fillets may lead to cause an error, to avoid the errors we need to extract the surfaces and untrim the extracted surfaces and extrapolate those untrimmed surfaces with point continuity. Now trim those extrapolated surfaces to the required shape. And finally, fillets were given to the final trim.

CLASS C SURFACE:-

Class C surface is a thickness between CLASS A& CLASS B surfaces and it is should be based on requirement of part assembly

FINAL SURFACE:-

CONVERT SURFACE TO SOLID PART :-

it is strongly recommended tool to final out put of our developing surface.and it is an complete solid part of our design
