Challenge

Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design

Aim:

To create the Base Bracket Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the Draft analysis on the model.

Given CLASS-A SURFACE:

TOOLING AXIS:

Bisecting method: Using a dummy tooling axis, the bisecting approach is essentially used to identify the correct tooling axis. When using the bisecting method, a line is used to either bisect the two lines or show an error, indicating that the two lines are parallel to one another. In order to determine whether a specific surface is toolable or not, we intersect the surface with the appropriate plane to produce a sketch that consists of two lines. Using the bisecting line option, we then divide the sketch into two lines, creating a line at the intersection of the two lines.
