Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design

1)

• The draft analysis is carried out on the given class A by using the command called featured draft analysis.At this stage we can analyse all the faces with the draft angle reference,if the draft angle is not sufficient we must proceed accordingly,In this case the draft angles was sufficient and proceded for the decision of tooling direction.
• For the given class A surface the tooling direction would be in z direction because the circular profilr cutouts are present on the surface, these circles will create undercuts if we dont choose the direction which is normal to it,so i have decided to be the tooling direction on z direction.
• To get the tooling axis have to create a point by using the circle,and used the line command to create a axis on z direction,and created a plane on the point parallel to yz plane,and used the intersection command to create a intersection profile to study the fillet radius and many more.

2) By creating the points on one of the edges of the ribs,and created a line by using the points on edges on ribs on a z direction, and by using bisect command we can create the tooling axis between the two lines which is created parallel and coincided with the edges on the ribs.it repeats with the other edges on the other two faces if presect and bisect a line between them.
