Week 6-Meshing of Hood Challenge

AIM:

Mesh the given component with assign thickness quality criteria

OBJECTIVE

PROCEDURE

STEP 1

The given component

STEP 2

Split the model into different component to mesh easily.

Latch part is splited.

STEP 3

To find the midsurface of given part

Go to geometry----midsurface---select the component---extract

STEP 4

Press F11 --- to toggle the unwanted lines to make mesh flow better.

STEP 5

MESH the given latch part at target elemt size 5

Go to2D-----automesh----mixed----mesh it.

STEP 6

Check the mesh flow of the component

Then check the edges----Tool----edges----select the component----find edges

STEP 7

DO quality criteria of given thickness.

Go to 2D---- quality criteria---cleanup tools---apply the given thickness

STEP 8

As same as other part-----hinge

Toggle the unwanted lines----check connectivity------2D mesh-----check mesh flow----find edges-----given thickness of quality criteria..

STEP 9

The quality criteria of hinge part

STEP 10

For Outer extract ----quality criteria

STEP 11

STEP 12

Inner extract edges

RESULT:

Hence the given components have beeb meshed with given thickness quality criteria has been done.
