Week 6-Meshing of Hood Challenge
Week 6-Meshing of Hood Challenge
Objective:-
In week-6 Challenge session, Main objective is clean the geometry and meshing with using Quality intex. Also using tia and quad avoid conditions of 2D meshing.Using the 'Mixed' (Not Quad) option to generate the mesh for this challenge because we are preparing the model for crash & safety simulations. The quad-only mesh is preferred for durability and structural simulations.

Step procedures of model:-
Step1:- Import the geometry
Step2:-Clean the geomtry as per minimum length

Step 3:- Split the Surface for avoiding rortate quad mesh and if found symmetric option then we can work on Half portion and then reflect the mesh for full mesh.

Step 4:- Set the Quality criteria Index in preferenece option:-

Step 5:- Use Auto mesh option with Mixed mesh for meshing the surface and mesh should be surface to surface.

Step:- 6 Check The quality index

Step 7:- if find fail the element then fix the fail by using split and combine element then smooth the element size by using the smooth command.

Results:- In this Hood Challenge session, I used the geometry cleanup with the help of toggle and split the surface and 2D mesh with using quality index criteria. Also i avoid some 2D mesh conditons like as Pattern mesh, opposite tria, edge tria, adjecent tria, rotating quad.
