Week 6-Meshing of Hood Challenge

AIM:

* To generate Midsurface and geometry clean-up on the given component

* To generate mesh on the given component with low tria concentration and proper mesh flow

* Give the quality criteria values

PROCEDURE:

* Mid-surfacing and meshing of each component should be done one by one.

* Toggle all the unnessccary lines

1) Inner extract:

* The inner extract has to be cut into two halves symmetrically, except the latch part.

* Do a skin offset for the mid-surface and trim the surface into two halves and perform the meshing on the one half

* After meshing is done on one side, use reflect tool to duplicate the mesh onto the other side as well

* Use the quality index tool to make changes in the mesh for a better mesh flow.

2) Outer extract:

* Trim the outer extract into two halves and mesh on one side similar to the inner extract.

* Near the hemming region, toggle all the lines except the middle line.

3) Latch Reinforcement extract:

* Extract the mid surface using auto mid and auto mesh the surface.

4) Hinge Reinforcement extract:

* Extract the mid surface using auto mid and auto mesh the surface.
