Week 6-Meshing of Hood Challenge
Aim: To generate mesh on Hood geometry.
1. Imported model & checked no. of components then choose 1st to start work & remaining made hidden.
2. Checked geometrical errors and used autocleanup
3. Then moved to get mid surface & for that used Geometry - mid surface - auto mid surface - auto extraction.
After generating mid started checking it’s geometrical errors and also started toggling the unnecessary lines & also untoggled those lines which toggled during autocleanup. Divided component surfaces to get proper mesh.
4. Before moving to mesh generation, filled quality criteria as per given.
5. Then used 2D automesh - size and bias and selected one surface and meshed.
6. Now adjusted nodes’ count to get desired mesh then rebuild mesh to get disturbed mesh in to proper mesh flow
7 Also used Quality index, edit element, and smooth, etc to set mesh quality.
Learning outcomes- Learned how to mesh, how to get proper mesh flow ana how to do that etc.
For me it was so difficult and time consuming but at end I got the things to do it proper and in fast way. Like using surfaces dividing which helps to get good mesh flow and allow to move fast .
