Week 3 - 2D meshing for sheet metal

Aim : To generate Mid surface & then meshing the Hood

Procedure:

Opened Hood model & Checked properties. 5 properties are there.

Out of 5 one selected 1st (Latch) & started woking.

1st checked cons resolutions & setted it to 1 mm throughtout.

2nd checked, is orientation is proper.

3rd Geometry checks & got green signal.

4th took few measuremets.

5th Mid surface extraction by using Best.

6th Assigned PID to newly generated Mid surface.

Same procedure for rest 4 parts. For meshing also selected one Mid surface by using properties.

Assigned properties & material properties also. And then as per quality recunstruction of mesh used.

Then at some areas used split, swap, join & smooth also.

Outcomes: Learnt Mid surface generation, meshing, improvement of meshing quality, setting PID, etc.

Conclusion: I need more practice since this model took more time than I expected.
