Week 6 - Creating connection for Rear door

AIM:

To do the connection for the car side door like seam welding, bolt connections, spot welding, RBE3 rigid connections and make nothing hang on space.

PROCEDURE:

1. Firstly make the connection for the hinges to connect the door and the car frame.

2. Select the COG points created in the center of the bolt connecting areas then convert the 3D point to bolt connection and assign the distance to capture the hole then open the connection manager and then realize it as the bolt.

3. In order to make them attached uesd the seam welding by converting the feature to a curve then converting curves to the seam line and realizing the curve as double row weld which is like the below picture.

4. Then comes the weather strip connection, here I used the features to curves option and convert it into a seam line then realized that as an RBE3 CBUSH RBE3 and gave p1 and p2 for the connection, so the connection is made and represented below.

5. Thus the necessary connection was deployed in the model apart from some missing geometry.

RESULT:

Thus hereby I learned how the major connections were made in the major-level assembly and came to know the importance of connection during full analysis.
