Week 6 - Creating connection for Rear door

Aim :

To create connectors to connect the given components by using ANSA software.

Objective :

To mesh and connect all the given components as it is asked to be connected and to connect the leftover by own.

Theory :

The connectors are the components used to connect several components in a chain like structure. There are several types of connectors used in industry according to the needs and usage. Most commonly joints are bolt and nut joints, welded joints, adhesive joints, etc.

With help of these different connectors we combine different shape and different size components to get a final product component. So the connectors plays an important role in making a final component.

I have done few different types of connections as it is asked to perform and learnt about the different type of connection that can be done by using the Hyperworks software.

Procedure :

1. To import the model to the graphical workspace.
2. As we got the component which is already meshed and there is no surface.
3. The given component is not connected so create connections step by step to create proper connection between all the PID's.
4. The different type of connections used to connect the components is shown below.
5. Bolted connection,
6. spot weld,
7. seam weld,
8. bush connection between glass and metal.

Result :

In the part of learning about the connectors menu I have performed few connections successfully using ANSA software.
