Week 6:- Clamp Unit & Pin-Clamp Unit Design Challenge

CLAMP UNITS AND PIN UNITS ASSEMBLY:

NOTE:

• Each of the three clamp units are having identical clamping cylinder. Also both the pin unit is having identical cylinder too.
• All headed screws used for assembling various parts of clamping unit are of hexagonal socket head type.
• All headed screws used for assembling each clamp unit to base are of hexagonal head type.
• All headed screws are used with Normal series washers of respective size.

CLAMPING UNITS:

Each of the clamping unit is having:

• clamping arm attached to cylinder unit which is having a mylar fixed to its other end with help of 2 screws.
• A blade which connectes clamping cylinder to Riser.
• An arm rest for clamping arm to rest onto the blade.

PIN UNIT:

 A single type retractable linear cylinder pin unit is used in two places in whole assembly.

Parts:

• A diamond shaped Pin attached to cylinder unit with 4 screws.
• Blade having 4 screw holes attached to cylinder body.
• Riser having 2 screw holes attached to blade and onto the base.
