Challenge

Week 6 - CHT Analysis on a Graphics card

The first 3 simulations were run using basic mesh

The topology was shared for proper meshing

Assigning materials are important for respective components

Fin - copper

Base - wood

Processor - Aluminium

The simulation was run for 3 different velocities - 1,3 & 5 m/s

Part 1 - 1 m/s

maximum temp & Htc

Part 2- 3 m/s

maximum temp & Htc

Part 3 - 5 m/s

maximum temp & Htc

Refined Mesh

Body sizing for each part was used

Processor , fin and base were meshed refinely

And the simulation was run using inlet velocity 1 m/s and ambient temperature 300 K

The result Obtained were a s follows

If we observe the graph of max temp and htc we can observe after some time the values are constant only ,so this itselve shows the values have been converged
