Week 6 Challenge

1.Summarize your study for the bending moment, shear force, and deflection diagrams for the elements of the model

AIM

To analyse the structure and summarize study for bending moment, shear force, and deflection diagrams for the elements of the model and also display these parameters for our model.

PROCEDURE

  • To open the preview model of our creation.

  • Before we analyze the Model, to prepared and check the load properties, load cases and loading combinations about a structure.

  • And then to check the setting in a analyze tab for all characteristics of elements factors.
  • To check the modification factor, by default these are in 1, but there is any other factors change it to it 1 and finally click ok.
  • To open the model in 3D structure.
  • Go to Analyze > choose the option of 1st order linear > check the loading factore > then click ok.
  • After that we analyzed the model, then functionally we got the Result views and we will get all types parameters required that process including Axial force, shear major, shear minor, torsion moment major, Moment minor can be accessed and also we check it for all direction categories ( X,Y,Z).
  • And also we finding the shear, deflection, moment under different loading action for we considered the load we want.
  • For, here we analyzed the structure, simultaneously we finding the bending action where got huge, on there we want to change appropriate materials on that particles.
  • We consider all categories and then to change all in perfect design required stage for our consideration.

BENDING MOMENT

  • Bending moment is defined as the bending reaction about a structure due to action of load or forces.
  • It is one of the most important parameters to be considered in the design.
  • We analyzing the bending moment for all varying load cases and considered the deflection of the structure and to change the members for where intimating more bending action in a structure.
  • In TEKLA results view to find accurate bending moment at all member at different loading action.
  • A beam may failure shear at before causing the bending.

SHEAR FORCE

  • Shear force is defined as a force that acts in a direction parallel to a cross sectional section of a body, for failure at ends of the beams any vertical forces.
  • In TEKLA Software, to finding the bending shear action about a structural frames.
  • After analyzed , to check in results view including the factors of Shear major and minor due to varying the loading combinations.

DEFLECTION DIAGRAM

  • Deflection diagram could be explained the bending action of member due to acting the load on structure.
  • For this diagram can be used to understand the Given member could withstand capacity of loading action.
  • And more used to change the member should proper structure frame.

RESULTS

Successfully analyzed our model and to checked the all load combination and results of Shear force, Bending moment and Deflection diagram.

2. Based on the analysis design the members and outline the thought process in selecting the member sizes along with the foundation design

AIM

To analyze the design of member and to outline the thought process in selecting the member sizes along with the foundation design.

PROCEDURE

  • To open the Load > Seismic load > to choose site specific spectra.

  • Next, to under load cases, to define the base information.

  • Next, to considering the structure integration.

  • Next, to giving the data of Fundamental period > to access the direction 1 and 2 of structure type.

  • Next to considering seismic force resisting system.

  • Similarly, we added the seismic effective weight at all load cases.

  • Next to check the value of combination factor whether the values are equal in 1.00.

  • Next to finding the analyzing structure of 1st order linear conditions, with including criteria of Minimum number if iterations and Tolerance.

  • After that, to check all load cases and combination .

  • Finally click ok, then to validate and analyze the structure to get all design Factors value.
  • To check the design of foundation.

RESULTS

To analyze the structure and make required correction and also to add and design the foundations of strcture.
