Week 6- Challenge

Aim: Extract the mid surface of the given component and perform meshing with given parameters.

Solution:

1). Inner Body

This is the inner body as given component.

This image shows the surface extraction and meshing with thickness of 0.75mm.

This image shows the meshing criteria which is fully satisfied with the objective.

2). Outer Body

This is outer body component as given.

After that extract the midsurface and mesh it which is shown in this image.

This is fully meshing image which has satisfied all the meshing criteria.

3). Hinge Body 1

This is the Hinge body 1 as given.

This is the midsurface of the hinge body 1. After extracting midsurface we have to split the surfaces according to ease of the meshing.

This image shows the meshing with thickness of 0.75mm with fully satisfied meshing criteria.

4). Hinge body 2

Doing step by step same as hinge body 1.

5). Latch

This is latch image component which is as given

After that extract the mid surface and cleanup the geometry with using toggle edges, line creation, node creation, washer split etc.

This is the final image of the latch with proper meshing with satisfied all the meshing criteria with thickness of 0.75mm.
