Week-6 Calculate the Stretch Ratio by comparing the ELFORM (-2,-1,1,2) with Ogden_Material Model.

Report week 6

Aim: Use OGDEN Material to create a 10mm*10mm*10mm solid cube. Use diffrent ELFORM 1,-1,2,-2 to run simulation

Procedure:

Use shape mesher to create a 10mm*10mm*10mm solid cube with 10 elements on each side

Create solid section, ELFORM will use 1,-1,2,-2

Use current OGDEN material

Assign section and material to part

Boundary Condition:

Fix x direction

Fix y direction:

Fix z direction:

Load-displacement:

Stretch ratio is 5, after calculation displacement is 50mm

Control Keyword:

Implicit Auto:

Implicit General:

Implicit Solution:

Implicit Solver:

Termination:

Database Keyword: ASC II option choose ELOUT and GLSTAT

Binary D3PLOT

Extent-Binary

Result: From top to bottom ELFORM 1,-1,2,-2

1.Von Mise Stress

2.X-Strain:

3. Engineering Stress vs Stretch Ratio plot

Collect true stress and strain data from Ls Dyna, use formula below to calculate engineering stress and strain

Conclusion:

From our result, when stretch ratio is 5, Engineering Stress is around 0.8MPa in different ELFORM 1,-1,2,-2. Stretch ratio is increasing exponentialy with respect to engineering stress.
