Surface wrap on Automotive Assembly

Aim/objective:

Assemble the given models and to do the surface mesh with the mesh length of 3mm.

Procedure:

• The given models are prepared for the Meshing process.
• So in order to we need to remove the single cons and unwanted triple cons, by using tools from TOPO modules.
• Then the unwanted surfaces and PID also removed from each modeL

Merging:

After the preparation of individual model the merging process can be done. By following method,

• File --> Merge --> then select the model for merge.
• Then the following box open then click ok.

After the three components are success fully merged then the unwanted openings are holes are covered by new face creation. For preparing Wrapping process.

Wrapping:

Go to Classic Mesh --> Element ---> Wrap ---> Constant Length.

Double click on Constant wrap Octree.

• Double click the empty under status

• Double click the untitled under parameter

• Then gave a name and set the target length was 3mm as shown in fig.

• Now the wrapping process was done.

Result:

Learning Outcomes:

• How to Geometry clean up
• How to merge Geometry models
• How to wrap a model by surface.

Conclusion:

1. Successfully merge and run the surface wrap on given model.
2. Effective surface wrap is achieved on the given body for a given mesh length of 3mm.
