DESIGN OF PLATE GIRDER

Aim ::- To determine the plate girder web thickness for load without stiffener.

Procedure ::-

Result ::- Web thickness of plate girder is 6mm.

Aim ::- To check whether intermediate stiffener is required under given loading.

Procedure ::-

Aim ::- To find thickness of web to avoid stiffener.

Procedure ::-

Result ::- To avoid stiffener thickness of the web must be 16mm under given conditions.

Aim ::- To calculate the minimum depth, web thickness, flange depth, thickness, adequacy of the section assumed.

Procedure ::-

Result ::- The assumed section is not adequate for the moment.
