Week 5

Objective

The given rearview mirror needs to be tetra meshed.

Procedure

1. The given rearview mirror model is imported into ANSA.

2. Now the model is checked with the geometry check option and fixed the surfaces if there are any issues.

3. Now there are four components in the model, all the components are meshed one by one. The given quality criteria is inputted, the ortho tria and tria options are used to mesh the whole model.

4. Now after shell meshing, then volume mesh option is used to create a volume.

5. Now using the Define option, the structures are defined. The parts are properly defined and right click on each part and click on the remesh option and click on any of the tetra meshing algorithm. Here, different meshing algorithm is used to create solid elements.

6. checked for tet collapse value, if there are any, it is moved manually.

Conclusion

The given model is shell meshed and then turned into tetra mesh using the tetra remeshing algorithms.
